in memory of our beautiful guardian angel

 Nicole's nickname was Slim Jim, a name she earned while hunting with our father. During archery season, they were in a ground blind when a herd of deer approached and stopped about 25 feet away. Nicole, with a Slim Jim sticking out of her mouth, pulled her bow back, turned to our father, and said, “I think they see me, Dad.” Just as she said that, the deer took off running, leaving our father laughing. This playful moment perfectly captured Nicole’s spirit and sense of humor.
